TOPIC DESCRIPTIONS

Anne Fenner Workshops help you make your best possible first impression. Topics which can be covered include:

Market Yourself. Who sees you? What do they see? Make the way you look make the people you meet respect you and want to know you better. To package yourself for success, you must know the rules before you break them.

Sell Yourself: The First Four Minutes. Paralanguage, body language and appearance are essential parts of effective communication. Enhance your credibility through non-verbal communication.

Wear Colors That Work For You. Consider your skin’s pigmentation, your build, and your personality type. Take into account colors’ messages, your best neutrals and wear colors that work for you. This topic includes a color demonstration with fabrics draped on members of the audience.

Contemporary Business Etiquette. Who enters the door first, the female employee or the male employer? Who do you introduce to whom? And when? Is it proper to eat with your hands? Your actions can speak so loudly that your words may not be heard. Manners do matter; they show you are well-bred, courteous, and going places.

Dress Smart. Style includes the way you walk and talk, your personality, your clothes, and the totality of your self projection. How do you want to be perceived? What are your personal signatures?

Dress to Enhance Your Credibility. What kinds of shoes work, what lapel width is classic, and what are effective hair styles? Learn about accessories, fragrances, and coordination. From head to toe, examine all dimensions.

Take Charge: A Wardrobe Management Plan. Who are you? What do you want from your clothing? Know what you have and what you need; where to look and how much to pay. Shop wisely and well.

Increase Self-Esteem By Dressing Smart. Liking ourselves has a lot to do with our attitudes, self-talks and confidence about how we look. Psychological studies show that the way others perceive us has a lot to do with how we perceive ourselves. What we do to the external becomes internalized. The results are immediate. If we look good, we feel good. If we feel good, we act confidently. We get that promotion or that new job. We get into that upward spiral, which is where we all want to be. Part of looking good is knowing who you are and dressing authentically. It is developing individual style. Image Update. Where have you been and where are you going? Are you keeping up on the latest in professional image? The more you know, the more confident you will feel and the more successful you will be. What do you need to do to “stay with-it?”
